The work
The untouchable felt.
1,000 Hours of Stillness
“Bring one thing you carry. Leave it in the room.”
It begins with a piece of paper. You write down one burden, something you carry, and you bring it.
Then we sit. Two chairs, an empty room, no words. I don't advise, I don't interpret and I don't step in. I witness, and the room does the rest.
You don't need to believe anything. Nothing is expected of you. You will be met, not fixed.
The piece is a long one, made across many cities. Every encounter is one person and one chair opposite.
- Form
- A long, durational encounter between two people, in silence.
- You bring
- One burden, written on paper.
- I do
- Sit opposite you and witness, without intervening.
- Setting
- An empty room and two chairs.
